SKELETON KEY PRESS, based in Oslo, Norway, is an independent publisher of photography and art books established in 2018 by Russell Joslin following his 17 years as Owner, Editor, and Publisher of the photography journal Shots. Over the course of those years, Joslin developed and refined his distinct editing style that is often characterized by an emphasis on sequencing and narrative tone. Additionally, Joslin brings his knowledge and experience of publishing, curating, photography, and graphic design to SKP, working directly with artists to publish exceptionally produced photography and art books.
Monographs are a testament to an artist’s abilities and represent an important part of one’s career and legacy. With each project, SKP works diligently to create an outstanding and poetic volume of images that is masterfully curated, designed, and edited. Quality, attention to detail, and firsthand cooperation with artists is emphasized in all phases of the process.
